Dr. Christopher Mark Ricker, DMD, MSD

Dr. Christopher Mark Ricker, DMD, MSD, originally from Houston, TX, earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Brigham Young University. He received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree magna cum laude from the Medical University of South Carolina and was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the national dental honor society. His postdoctoral training began with a rigorous General Practice Residency (GPR) at Palmetto Health in Columbia, South Carolina, where he gained extensive clinical and surgical experience treating medically complex patients in both hospital and outpatient settings.

Before beginning his specialty training, Dr. Ricker practiced general dentistry in North Carolina, with a focus on cosmetic rehabilitation and implant dentistry. He served as a clinical mentor, led initiatives to grow practice revenue, and pursued advanced continuing education in digital smile design, regenerative therapies, and surgical techniques.

As a periodontics resident at Virginia Commonwealth University, Dr. Ricker refined his expertise in implant dentistry, tissue regeneration, and advanced hard and soft tissue surgical procedures. He is proficient in IV sedation, complex tooth extractions, implant planning and placement, and advanced bone grafting techniques. This immersive experience has provided a strong foundation in multidisciplinary patient care.
